REVIEW: Taco Bell Double Decker Taco
It’s back again! Last time I had this, it was $0.99.

I recently tried Taco Bell’s Double Decker Taco again, and I have some mixed feelings about its limited-time return. The standout element for me was the texture. The combination of the soft tortilla wrapped around the crunchy taco shell is still as satisfying as ever, creating a great contrast in every bite. However, there was one issue I noticed—there were just too many refried beans. While I love beans, they ended up overpowering the seasoned beef flavor. The taco mostly tasted like refried beans, and the beef became almost an afterthought.
The taco was only $1.99, which is a solid deal, but I felt it could have been more balanced. The good news is, I tried it with the new Disha sauce Taco Bell introduced, and that made a big difference. The sauce added a tangy kick that really elevated the overall flavor, giving it that extra something the taco needed. By itself, I would give the Double Decker Taco a 5/10, but with the Disha sauce, it jumps up to a 6/10.
As for the service, I placed a mobile order and was pleasantly surprised by how fast everything was. My order was ready in just two minutes, making the experience super convenient. All in all, it’s worth trying, especially if you add the sauce.
Rating: Taco Bell Double Decker Taco 5/10 but 6/10 with the Disha sauce
Price: $1.99 in Seattle
