REVIEW: Arby’s Fried Mac 'n Cheese Bites

This is my second time trying these.

You can check out my last Arby’s review, of the Bourbon BBQ Brisket Sandwich, here.

I recently gave Arby’s Fried Mac 'n Cheese Bites a try, and while they had their strengths, there were a few aspects that left me wanting more. I ordered through the mobile app, and the process was smooth and efficient. There was no wait, and my order was ready to go as soon as I arrived. Even after driving home, the bites were still warm, which was a pleasant surprise.

The exterior of these bites was hands down the best part. They had a perfect crunch, golden and crispy with each bite, giving that satisfying texture you want from something fried. However, the inside didn’t quite match the excellence of the exterior. The cheese filling had a distinct cheddar flavor, and the aftertaste was there too, but something was missing. It lacked the saltiness or tang you expect from mac and cheese, and that left the inside feeling a bit bland in comparison to the crispy outside. It was hard to pinpoint exactly what was missing, but it felt like the cheese needed a little extra kick to make it stand out.

At $5.79, the bites are a decent snack if you’re craving something fried, but they weren’t particularly memorable for me. I’d rate them a 6/10 overall. The crispy exterior was spot on, but the flavor of the cheese filling could definitely be improved to make it more satisfying.
