REVIEW: Arby’s Bourbon BBQ Chicken Sandwich

Round 2 of Bourbon BBQ. Does Arby’s still have the meats? In this case, no.

Check out my last Arby’s review of the Bourbon BBQ Brisket Sandwich here

The toppings on the Bourbon BBQ Chicken Sandwich are nearly identical to the brisket version—crispy onion straws, bourbon BBQ sauce, and brown sugar on the bacon—but the overall taste fell short. The sweet bourbon BBQ sauce, which worked well with the brisket, was too sweet for the chicken, creating an odd flavor combination that didn’t sit right with me.

The crispy onion straws added a nice texture, but they couldn't save the sandwich from its overly sweet profile. The brown sugar on the bacon felt out of place, further contributing to the imbalance of flavors. To top it off, there was no sauce on the top bun, despite the advertising showing it. This left the sandwich feeling incomplete and dry.

Overall, Arby's Bourbon BBQ Chicken Sandwich was a miss for me, earning just a 4/10. If you're considering trying this limited-time offering, you might want to stick with the brisket version instead.
