REVIEW: Sonic Smasher

If you're a fan of smash burgers like me, you're going to love Sonic's new Smasher Smashed Burger. As someone who adores Culver's, my favorite fast food restaurant, I had high expectations for this double smash burger. Sonic did not disappoint.

One of the standout features of the Smasher is the beef. It's of noticeably higher quality than what you find in other Sonic burgers, and it has a wonderful crust that adds an extra layer of flavor and texture. Each bite was juicy and packed with savory goodness.

The choice of a potato bun was a pleasant surprise. It paired perfectly with the smashed patty, offering a soft and slightly sweet contrast to the savory beef. Unlike sesame seed buns, which can sometimes overpower the delicate flavors of a smash burger, the potato bun was an excellent choice.

The pickles on the Smasher are dill, which added a nice tangy crunch to the burger. The sauce, while a typical mayo reminiscent of what you'd find on a chicken sandwich, was a suitable addition, providing a creamy balance to the rich beef.

UPDATE: I had this a second time the other day and it wasn’t nearly as good. The patties weren’t as smashed as the first time. This product seems to be inconsistent. My updated score would have to be a 6/10.
