REVIEW: Domino's New York Style Pizza
I recently tried Domino’s New York Style Cheese Pizza, and while I enjoyed it, there are some differences from authentic New York pizza.
You can read my last Domino’s review here. I reviewed the 5 cheese mac n cheese.
The cheese and sauce distribution on Domino’s New York Style Pizza was nearly perfect, which I really appreciated—every bite felt balanced with just the right amount of flavor in each mouthful. The cheese was nicely melted, and the sauce added a great tang without being overwhelming. However, the crust was a bit of a disappointment for me. While it was thin, it didn’t have the crispiness you’d expect from a real New York slice. One of the best parts about folding a New York-style pizza is that satisfying crunch, and this one lacked that completely. The crust was more soft and bendable, which left me missing that true authentic feel.
I also found it a bit hard to distinguish this pizza from Domino’s old Brooklyn Style Pizza. Both have thin crusts, come in six large foldable slices, and overall feel quite similar. I wasn’t sure what was supposed to make this one stand out from the older offering. Still, I enjoyed the pizza for what it was, and I would give it a solid 8/10 for the flavor and overall experience.
The service was excellent too. I ordered through the app, and my pizza was ready for pickup as soon as I walked into the store. The entire process was smooth and took less than a minute, which made the overall experience even better. Domino’s really knows how to deliver quick and efficient service.
