REVIEW: Dominos 5-Cheese Mac & Cheese
As a fan of mac and cheese, I was curious to try Domino’s 5-Cheese Mac & Cheese, but it’s a salt bomb.
First off, if there’s such a thing as too cheesy, this might be it. The dish is loaded with cheese, which sounds great in theory, but the saltiness was overpowering. The texture of the cheese was a bit odd too—similar to what they use in their Five Cheese Dip & Bread Twists. It had a runny consistency, which leads me to believe they may be using vegetable oil with some sort of textured protein. It didn’t feel like a rich, creamy mac & cheese. I posted this review on Reddit and u/Mr_TigerZ commented that the cheeses are: mozzarella, asiago, cheddar, American cheese, and alfredo sauce. The sauce is definitely what makes it runny then.
All in all, it’s not bad, but it’s a lot to take in. Between the salt and the heavy cheese, it felt overwhelming after a few bites. I’d rate it a 5 out of 10. If you’re a cheese lover who doesn’t mind a salt bomb, it might be worth trying but be prepared for the intensity.
