REVIEW: Jack In The Box Waffle Sticks

The last Deadpool and Wolverine limited edition food review did not go well, can Jack in The Box redeem themselves?

Read my last Jack in The Box review here.

First off, the taste was overwhelmingly dominated by the flavor of vegetable oil. Being fried, they carried a strong, greasy taste that reminded me of a pinwheel donut, but not in a good way. They were so oily that it was hard to enjoy any potential sweetness they might have had.

To make matters worse, the restaurant forgot to include the syrup. Even if they had remembered, I doubt that a fake maple syrup could have saved these Waffle Sticks. The lack of syrup just emphasized the already greasy nature of the snack.

On a positive note, the texture of the Waffle Sticks was quite good. They were crispy and had a satisfying crunch, which was a small redeeming factor in an otherwise disappointing experience. Unfortunately, the texture alone couldn't make up for the overwhelming oiliness.

Overall, I have to give Jack in the Box's Waffle Sticks a 2/10. Despite their good texture, the excessive oiliness and lack of proper flavor made them a letdown. If you're curious about trying them, I'd suggest managing your expectations or waiting for a different limited edition item to come along.

Rating: 2/10

Another disappointing offering for the new Deadpool movie from Jack in The Box.
